SHARE.SD February Recap

Last night's SHARE was great.  We had about 7 people show up, but this time, we were a bit more interactive.

We had wi-fi and a projector setup + some featured work.  Having the wi-fi up, allowed us to add to our conversations and sharing - 'hey' here's a cool website I use for distributing my music online'.

Here's what we shared:

Daniel Obodovski, long time SHARE aficionado and patron showed up and shared a new Ableton track he'd been working on, projected on a screen.  He shared how he made each fill as well as what effects he used.

Christian Michaels also showed up and we trouble shot some MIDI equipment together - found out Ableton LE just sucks - but hey, he's well on his way to getting up and running.  He shared some really neat iPhone music making apps.  Also found out that there is a demand for ABLETON CLASSES.  Workshops for February?

Justin Morrison showed up (with Il, a live video maker/visualist) via a Facebook Status update on a local museum's Facebook Page - MACSD had no direct contact with him before he showed up, so it was completely word of mouth -  no print came his way.  Awesome!

Louis Haiman, David Sarrazzin and Randy were also on hand to set up, jam and troubleshoot.  David was incredibly helpful in troubleshooting our silly MIDI sync issues (as well as coming up with great ideas for our next SHARE).

Please enjoy the following images and video from our event!

SHARE happens every 2nd Wednesday at MEDIA ARTS Center San Diego, 6pm.
